Jem’s specialist area is search engine optimisation (SEO) and social media content strategy. She’s a whiz at getting into a mindset of target audiences - the way they’re searching or browsing - and anticipating the content they’ll love, so she knows exactly where clients can stand out.
Before Bottle, she was part of the Content Strategy team at Publicis, with clients including Disney+ and NEOM (the new city in Saudi Arabia, not the candle brand!) She also has experience in social media and influencer marketing, and omnichannel content marketing strategies for startups. Her work at the intersection of SEO and social media informs her frameworks that drive engagement, trust, and conversion rates.
Jem loves that her role at Bottle is a little different from a standard SEO gig, which tends towards constant incremental improvements. Instead, it’s more story-led: thinking up irresistible content ideas (whether that’s onsite or for journalists) and making creative experiences that customers love to share and shout about.
A random fact about her? She’s met Kim Kardashian and Kanye West - they talked about Vogue covers, then were interrupted by someone dropping to their knees and bowing to Kanye, which she said was exceptionally weird.
