CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Colin is the Creative Director and co-owner here at Bottle. He leads the Planning and Creative teams; improving insights, ideas and measurement for our Fame and Findability mission.

With 10 years at Bottle, the experience and expertise gained at Unilever and with his own start-up confectionery brand, Colin’s specialism is in the development of brand strategy and turning it into award-winning campaign concepts.

A bit of a disciplined process-wonk (which he puts down to his early years as an Army Officer) he also loves writing – whether it’s brand copy or song-writing with his band.

He’s into numbers, as well as words, although he did his Economics degree before Excel was a thing.

His favourite number is 58.9 which is the atomic weight of cobalt. This knowledge has yet to prove useful in any way. In fact, he thinks that having lots of knowledge about things that are yet to be useful is kind of essential to be a decent creative.
