Twitter supports autoplay video
Twitter now supports gifs and can autoplay videos, which really ups the game for those of us working in content marketing.
Autoplaying will certainly help increase views on traditional narrative video and animation but there’s an opportunity to make static visuals stand out with simple looping animations. Of course, there are the cheap and cheerful meme gifs but for established brands, a little more thought and skill is required to create something more crafted.
Here’s something that we created as a proof of concept. As you can see, it really stands out amongst the static images in the feed.
